Tommy Kornuijt started his musical journey long time ago. At first as drummer/percussionist of the band “El papa dopa” in the South of Holland. They played rockmusic but they were very much influenced by other styles of music such as funk and hiphop. The love of house was always there. For years he was one of the founders of infamous squatparties in the south. A couple years later when he moved to Amsterdam and his band fell apart he started spinning. First as a hobby but a new addiction was born. Nowadays he plays on many parties, mainly around his new hometown. His sound can be described as a warm deep funky groove.. sexy music. He was inspired by people like the Chillipeppers, De la Soul, a tribe called Quest, Beastie Boys, Morphine, Deus, the Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, Motown, Di Angelo, Billie Holliday, Chet Baker, Herman Brood and others. Dj’s he loves are: Villalobos, Luciano, Zip, Rhadoo, Petre Inspriscu, Margareth Dygas, Richie Hawtin, Boris Werner, Carlos Valdes, Mathias Kaden and Oner Ozer, Robert Powlson, Tony Boogs, Tom Ruijg, Juliette.. His favourite producers are: Villalobos, Cabanne, Rhadoo,, Johnny D, Boris Werner, Guillaume and the coutu dumonts, Daniel Stefanik, Mathias Tanzman, Serafin, Peter Dildo, Audio Werner, Kreon, Lemos, Agnes, Peace Division, Kalabrese, Luciano, Luna City Express, Vera, Federico Mollinari, the Mole, Tom Ellis, Leif, Inland Knights, Terry lee brown, Minilogue….. For the following years Tommy wants to focus more on producing music…
